Planning ahead really simplifies things. A 7 day healthy eating plan can make your eating life a breeze.
If you know what you are eating this week, then the trip to the grocery store can be all organized, and you can get everything in one trip! This cuts down expenses, frustration, and wear and tear on the chief cook and bottlewasher.
Below is just an example of a 7 day healthy eating plan, that will have all three meals sorted out for you. Start with some fresh fiber first (have a carrot, broccoli, apple, orange - a fruit or veggie) before each meal.
Remember, salads are a cornerstone of eating smart so you'll want to plan one with lunch, and big one with supper. Make sure you have your veggies with your meals as well.
Smoothies are quick easy breakfasts to make, and loaded with phytonutrients, antioxidants, and fiber. As you notice, they are an integral part of the 7 day healthy eating plan. They are also good for snacks if you get really hungry during the day!
One of my favorites is:
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup blueberries (frozen)
1/2 cup strawberries (frozen)
1 scoop undenatured whey protein
Handful of almonds.
Throw it in the blendtec and smoothie it! (I like smoothies thick and cold so you can eat it with a spoon - if you like them less thick then use fresh strawberries, or let them thaw)
Throw some nuts, raisins, coconut, fruit in your oatmeal.
Buy your fruit fresh and in season, and make a wonderful fruit salad. Snack on fruit and veggies throughout the day.
For your big meals buy grass fed beef, free range chicken, and wild fish. Even better, replace your beef with wild meats.
